Mechanical Design
We have extensive experience with high level CAD, CAM and FEA software. On design completion, we carry out a full FEA, fault cause analysis/FMECA and material selection. Our systems operate the following software:

Electrical Design
Electrical design, engineering and cabinet build are all in-house capabilities, including PLC and CNC engineering. Our product range covers the following technologies:

- Allen Bradley
- Mitsubishi

Automation
With more than 40 years’ experience in the automation production, we can develop bespoke technology or provide off-the-shelf solutions.




Reverse Engineering
We can reverse engineer out-dated or obsolete equipment by manufacturing identical or alternate items. All components are checked with our quality systems at various stages of manufacture.
Machining and Manufacture
Our facility has the capacity for:
- Up to 6.5 metre milling
- 5 tonne CNC turning
- 0.4 axis wire cutting
- High speed machining for small components
- Medium to heavy fabrication for ferrous and non-ferrous metals
- Assembly and test facilities for FAT tryouts
- High volume turning and milling capabilities
The facility’s lift capacity is 10 tonnes.

Paint Shop
We operate an in-house side draft paint booth. With dimensions of 8m x 8.5m x 2.6m, we can professionally paint and seal all fabrications.
Fabrication
Our in-house welding capabilities include:
- GP and SP
- MIG/TIG
- Alumnimum and Mild Steel
Weld procedures and certification are assessed by a third party.’


Workshop to Site
Andrew Engineering has a fleet of vehicles for local delivery and small onsite installation.
For heavy-weight deliveries Australia-wide, we work with a reliable network of freight partners. We can also arrange export deliveries in conjunction with the customer.
Safety
Our procedures and workshop layout considers material flow, waste disposal, lifting and materials handling, swarf management, new product inflows, scrap handling and forklift operation.
From risk and hazard analyses to FEMCA studies and task time calculations, safety is a priority at every stage in our manufacturing process.
Project Management
Every brief is assigned a project manager. As the primary contact, they can guide projects through tender sign off, budgeting, KPI setting, concept design, design reviews, quality assurance, installation, site visits and commissioning.
